Your profile:
Toolmakers manufacture stamping tools, bending devices or casting and injection moulds for industrial series production. They manufacture metal and plastic parts, as well as surgical instruments. Processing metals, e.g. by drilling, milling, lathing, grinding, filing and hammering and adhering to the dimensions specified in technical drawings exactly. Measurement and inspection devices are used to test the dimensional accuracy of workpieces to just thousandths of a millimetre. In addition to traditional processing methods, CNC-controlled tool machines that you program yourself if necessary are also used.
Your profile:
You plan the manufacture of plastic and rubber products, set up the appropriate production machines and systems, and prepare the raw mixtures or raw substances, or half-finished products. You fill pellets or fluids into the filling units, you insert or clamped half-finished products into the appropriate tools. Finally, process mechanics for plastic and rubber technology start the systems up, monitor the processing flows and adjust if necessary. As polymer specialists, you know their specific properties. You check the quality of the finished products, clean and maintain the production devices, and service them.
